SPACECRAFT
Scottish artist / curator Stewart Russell and English designer Donna O’Brien founded Spacecraft Studio in Melbourne in 2000. Since then Spacecraft Studio has been committed to creating and communicating high quality contemporary artwork and design concepts through self initiated projects and through collaborations with outstanding artists, architects and designers.
Artwork and design projects created at our studio have been exhibited and acquired for collections in significant Australian and international contexts, from the Tate London to the Tiwi Islands, from Art Basel to Paris Fashion Week, from Japanese Hotel projects to an artist talks programme in Collingwood.
The new Spacecraft Store is worth finding. It’s tucked away in a collection of 1890’s warehouses along the Maribyrnong River in Footscray. Its a lively destination, our neighbours are Hop Nation brewery with their tap room & Good Pizza, Mischa’s Boxing Gym and Oceania Seafood, make up our eclectic cultural quarter.
